Why current flowing is less in with out air gap choke coil than with air gap choke coil?
when we use a choke coil in a electric circuit current is flowing through the choke coil is more in case of with air gap in the choke coil.why .....?
Without an airgap in its iron core a coil will carry a higher flux for a given current and therefore have a higher inductance which results in a higher ac impedance. Higher impedance means less current at the same voltage
