Anyone who uses Softmetal Alkor adhesive stainless steel appliances?

I wonder if adhesive stainless steel Softmetal Alkor does seem good when setting kitchen appliances or if it looks like an expensive piece of film on them. I would not buy something that will be corny, but if if it looks like the real steel, so why not? Any comments would be appreciated.

not look as good as I thought, but I'm a picky lawn.
