How would you transport a large appliance (stove, refridgerator, etc.) up stairs with no risers?

I think risers are the part that you hit with your toes when going up the stairs.... ??

basically how would i transport a heavy / large appliance up open stairs? Would an appliance dolly still work? Also im not really that strong. Only one other person will be helping me (my guy friend)

Camille, Yes. A appliance dolly will work on a set of steps with no risers. Your guy friend will be the one holding the appliance dolly and you should be the one helping stabilizing the stove,refr.below him. He should be the one that will pull the appliance up the stairs, using one hand on the dolly and the other hand holding on to the handrail. If he feels uncomfortable about doing it, you should get another friend that is stronger to do the pulling. Hoped this helped answer your DIY question.
