Body Valve
Body Valve
what shd i feel if my x5's transmission valve body is bad ?
i have a 2003 bmw x5 4.4i , it has 87000 km of milage , during check up the dealers computer noted that i have torque converter lock up clutch excessive slip since 3 months , the fault keeps sayinf its currently happening , i never felt a change in torque or fuel consumption but i do sometimes feel that while accelerating and stopping to zero i feel a mild bump when the car stops , my mechanic says that my problem is a faulty valve body which regulates the hydraulic pressure of the torque convertor and causes it to slip thus fixin the valve body will solve everythn , is this true ? what are the symptoms of a bad valve body ? can anyone help ? any bmw experts out there >??
You should definitely feel a change in the way that the car accels through the gears, I'd take it to the dealership to have them check it out. The car should still be under warranty, shouldn't it? If it is then it would be their responsiblity to coorect the problem anyway. Good Luck
