Dishwasher Sequence
My Kenmore Quiet Guard Dishwasher doesn't work and the "lock light" is on. How do I fix it and make it work?

Dishwasher Model number is 58715253402. When I looked for an owner manual online I could only find an installation guide. I know on similar Kenmore dishwashers you can push a sequence of buttons to unlock ... please help.

I can only offer two suggestions, the second one being the less fortunate option. The first suggestion.. there should be a way to 'reset' your dishwasher. Often times it says it right by the buttons. Usually it's something like holding two buttons down or three buttons down. Or you could try to unplug it for 30 secs to reset and then plug it back in.

Otherwise, option number 2: go to http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/index.action

enter in the model number. An option to 'browse components' comes up. Click on the 'control panel'. If you go through the list, you will find an owners manual for sale ($3.00). Unfortunately, it doesn't look like you can download it, so you'll have to have it shipped to you. So, I know that isn't as 'nice' of an option, but at least you know where the get the owner's manual now!
