what color would look nice in a teenage girls bedroom?

My room is a medium sized room, that can fit a double bed, wardrobes, drawers and everything.
At the moment my room is black and white. But i want to change it to a different color.
I was thinking plum purple on one wall and light grey on the others.
But i would like a variety of choices, i do like the idea of purple.
But i am open to different ideas and colors.
Any help please?

if you use purple with gray, the gray will look lavender...(gray is not black and white, because black is not black..it's usually a combination of many colors, including red, blue, purple and green.)
Paint the room a color you like, not what strangers on Yahoo like..
