Mic and head phones sockets in the front panel of my desktop PC not working?

The Mic and head phone sockets in the back panel are working but, not the sockets in the front panel.

I have checked the settings in the Realtek audio manager in the system stray.

Is the issue with the hardware itself?

Or, do I need to configure them?

may be the front panel audio jacks wire are not connected to your motherboard. Even if it is connected may be the jumper setting has disable it. You need to check the manual of MB to see where is that jumper
