Just got a Record Player. What records should I buy?

I know this sounds pretty dumb. It's like some one getting and Ipod and saying "Itunes what?" lol But here me out. I'm 17 and for about 5 years now brutal fast pounding metal has been my savior, with some hard rock and rap in between. But for the first time in ...ever lol I was taken back by the sound of The Beatles. I know enough about Vinyl to know I'm not going to find Slipknot on any Record racks so please tell me the names of some good punk/metal bands that might be. Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure a girl would find a classic Record player a bit more romantic than an IHome. lol So what are some Albums I should buy to ...umm.. woe girls? xDD I know I sound horrible but I wanna be romantic and cool and original for my genoration! XD So can anyone help me out?

Anything by Hendrix, anything by Zeppelin, Beatles(Sgt. Pepper and onwards), and actually, yes, quite a bit of 80's music was on vinyl. Some modern music is being released on vinyl also, such as Queens of the Stone Age.
