Whats the purpose for wheel spacers on 4x4 off roading?
i need to upgrade my 97 sr5 runner. i dont think it can hang with the off road I do for weekend hobby with my boys. But not xtreme just trail blazing in puddles and rugged trails. I bought the truck a bit lifted but dont know how many inch its lifted. Im thinking about some wheel spacers. what do they do anyways. what do u think is the best for looks and durability on a budget
only thing wheel spacers to is push the rims out away from the rotor a little bit, it would be for if your having some kind of clearance problem like the rim clearing the calipers or maybe the tires are rubbing the inner fender well when you turn the wheel
Runners And Cars
That particular incident involving my teammates could have had a very different outcome; but thankfully, it didn't. However, there are countless other runners, bicyclists, walkers and other pedestrians who are not so lucky. When you are behind the wheel of a motor vehicle, you need to remember that you do not have the right of way when it comes to pedestrians. You must always yield to pedestrians. Even if a pedestrian has wrongly started to cross the road when they really shouldn't have, you still have to yield to them. It can sometimes be frustrating, but it is true. Therefore, you must always be cognizant of not just pedestrians around you but of everything that is going on around you. Ultimately, it is your safety and the safety of others that matters when you are driving. Be responsible. It could be someone's mother or brother, sister or father out there. Always look around you while you are driving and tune out any other distractions.
At that point, everything happened extremely fast. At the same time that the girls started to cross the street, the woman had already started to accelerate and then began to turn her head forward. She then slammed on her brakes once she realized that some of us had started to cross the street. Frustrated and wrongly thinking that she had the right of way, she honked her horn. That is the point where one of my teammates took it upon themselves to go up to her window and proceed to yell at her, pointing to the stop light and explaining to her that she did not have the right of way and that she had better go back and read a driver's education manual.
When running one day, I was with a group of my teammates, and we were running around the college campus area. Because it was the afternoon, people were leaving work and the roads were busy. This wasn't any more unusual than any other day. However, when we had briefly stopped at a traffic light for a minute (waiting for it to change so that we could cross the road), a woman was just pulling up to the curb. Without looking in our direction to see that we were standing right next to her car, she continued to look left and then briefly glanced back to the right in our direction. We thought that because she had glanced in our direction (and also since we were standing right next to her vehicle) that she saw us standing there. She did not. When the light turned, a couple of the girls in front of the pack started to jog across the street; but the woman in the car took this as her opportunity to beat the traffic by getting out first.
In my experience as a collegiate athlete on the cross country and track team, running outside was usually a pleasant experience- but not always.
